GP Police Jailed Man for Second Case of Felony Vandalism in Less Than a Week

Grants Pass Police jailed a man for another case of felony vandalism last weekend.

The Police Department reports officers arrested 31-year-old Jose Manuel Urias for the incident at Tan Republic in the 1500-block of NE F Street on Sunday morning.

Police said Urias was called in for smashing a window at the business along with damaging multiple pieces of property including chairs. They said the owner was in fear for her safety due to his violent and reckless behavior.

According to the report, the damage was estimated to be around $2,300.

Officers arrived on scene and placed Urias into custody. He was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Felony 1st-Degree Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct. He was being held without bail.

Last week, Urias was arrested for shattering glass in one of the front doors of the Josephine County Courthouse.
