Emily Morris, a junior at North Valley High School, was named a finalist in the 2025 Youth Athlete of the Year Competition sponsored by Sports Illustrated. Emily plays for both her high school and the White-Water Volleyball Club. Currently she has interviews with People magazine and USA Olympic Volleyball foundation. She is an active surfer, a member of the Ocean Shores Surf Club plus, an honor roll student who maintains a 4.0gpa. Her plan is to hopefully play volleyball for Southwest Oregon Community College, then transfer to Humboldt University to major in Marine Biology to eventually fight the issue of microplastics in the ocean. She credits her mother and Grandmother for her inspiration.
