GP Police Arrested Motorist on Local Felony Warrant after NE 6th Street Stop

Grants Pass Police arrested a man on a local felony warrant this week following a traffic stop in the north part of the city.

The Police Department reports officers pulled over a gold Toyota 4-Runner driven by a 49-year-old male subject in the 1800-block of NE 6th Street on Wednesday night.

Police said they stopped the vehicle for expired registration tags and discovered that the man's driving privileges had been suspended and he had no insurance. They also discovered that he was wanted on a Josephine County felony warrant for failing to appear in court for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The suspect was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on the warrant. He was also cited for Driving While Suspended, No Insurance and Expired Tags.
