Two People Injured in Selma Area Crash When Driver Swerved to Avoid a Deer
Two people were injured in a motor vehicle accident that happened yesterday near Selma.
On Wednesday at 2:49 p.m., the Illinois Valley Fire District was dispatched to the single-vehicle rollover crash in the 500-block of Thompson Creek Road.
IVFD officials said the driver stated that he swerved to miss a deer, went into the ditch, hit a culvert and flipped the vehicle. The vehicle landed on its wheels.
Two occupants of the heavily damaged vehicle were transported to Three Rivers Medical Center by a friend who arrived on scene prior to emergency personnel. The vehicle was removed by Jerry's Towing and hauled to Cave Junction.
No law enforcement responded to the incident, so there was no investigation.
