Cavemen Drop 2nd Game at Surf and Slam
The Grants Pass Cavemen have faced some tough competition in the Surf and Slam basketball tournament in San Diego. The Cavemen lost their second game in a row this morning 43 to 37 to Ogden, Utah. Gavin McLean was the leading scorer for Grants Pass with 13 points in a tournament where the boys in blue have had a tough time scoring.
They lost their opening game to Christian High School 57 to 38 Wednesday when the leading scorer was Tyler McIntosh with ten. The Cavemen finish the tournament Friday morning at nine against either Helix, California or Liberty, Washington.
Last night North Valley lost to Astoria, 73 to 46 in the opening game of the Vince Dulcich Memorial. The Knights won this morning, edging Warrenton 52 to 51 improving their record to 4 and 5.
