Friday Night Football has GP at Liberty High in Quest of the Columbia Cup
The Grants Pass Cavemen open their quest for the Columbia Cup tonight against the 17th ranked Liberty Falcons in Hillsboro. The young Cavemen, who have struggled throughout the season, are ranked 32nd, and drew a playoff berth due to the strength of their schedule, arguably one of the toughest in the state. The game will be broadcast on KAJO with the pregame at 6;30 for a seven o’clock kickoff.
Other conference teams in competition for the Columbia Cup includes South Medford hosting Jefferson and North Salem at Grant. The 6A championship bracket pairs West Salem at West Linn,Sheldon at Lakeridge, North Medford at Central Catholic and South Salem hosting Tigard.
In the 3A playoffs 8th ranked North Valley is hosting Elmira and in 2A competition the 9th ranked Illinois Valley Cougars travel to Gaston.
