GP 9-1-1 Dispatch Center Received More Than 1,000 EM Calls Over Past Week

The Grants Pass 9-1-1 Communications Center fielded more than 1,000 emergency calls in the past week.

According to its Week in Review post on Facebook, the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center reported receiving 1,025 calls for service between April 4th and April 10th.

The Grants Pass Police Department received the vast majority of the emergency calls with 898 followed by American Medical Response with 275 and Grants Pass Fire & Rescue with 97.

Rural Metro Fire Department received 52 calls over the past week, the Illinois Valley Fire District received 24, Williams Rural Fire Protection District received seven, Wolf Creek Fire Protection District received four and the Oregon Department of Forestry got one.

Dispatchers reported receiving 438 internal phone calls and making 517 outbound calls. We thank our communications team for working diligently every day and providing excellent service to the citizens of Grants Pass and Josephine County.
