GP Police Arrested Man for Throwing Beer Cans Off Bridge into Rogue River

Grants Pass Police arrested a man for throwing empty beer cans off the Debbs Potts Memorial Bridge into the Rogue River over the weekend.

The Police Department reports a citizen observed the 33-year-old male subject throwing beer cans off the span that carries the Grants Pass Parkway over the river on Saturday at about 2:50 p.m..

Officers contacted the suspect and another man who stated that he grabbed the suspect when he attempted to jump off the bridge. The suspect was uncooperative at first and refused to give his name. He eventually admitted to the offense and was placed into custody.

The suspect was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Depositing Trash Within 100 Yards of a Waterway.
