OSP Snared Arizona Fugitive during Williams Highway Traffic Stop near Murphy

The Oregon State Police apprehended an Arizona man wanted by authorities in his home state after a weekend traffic stop on Williams Highway near Murphy.

OSP reports troopers pulled over a Honda driven by a 25-year-old Bullhead City, Arizona, man near milepost 7 of Highway 238 on Saturday at 12:07 p.m..

Troopers said they stopped the motorist for traffic violations and quickly learned that he was wanted on an extraditable felony warrant out of Arizona. He was placed into custody without incident.

The suspect was transported to Grants Pass and lodged at the Josephine County Jail on the warrant which included a corrections violation. He was awaiting extradition proceedings that will send him back to Arizona.

According to OSP, the man's vehicle was left with his passengers.
