GP Police Arrested Man for Stealing Large Package of Meat from Safeway

Grants Pass Police arrested a man yesterday for stealing a large package of meat from a downtown supermarket.

According to the Police Department, officers were alerted to a theft complaint at Safeway on SE 7th Street on Thursday around 11:25 a.m..

Police said an investigation determined that 25-year-old Terrance Anthony Adair grabbed a large package of meat worth about $88 from the store and ran away from the business. The suspect was last seen heading westbound on the railroad tracks.

Officers eventually tracked down Adair at Baker Park and found him to be in possession of the stolen meat. He was placed into custody and lodged in jail for 3rd-Degree Theft. He was also trespassed from the downtown Safeway.
