GP Police Jailed Man on Felony Warrant after Investigating Trespassing Call

Grants Pass Police jailed a man on a local felony warrant after investigating a trespassing complaint at Foundry Village late last night.

The Police Department reports officers responded to the call at the transitional housing facility on SW Foundry Street on Tuesday around 11:45 p.m..

Police said they were alerted to a male subject in the driver seat of a Subaru Outback that was parked at the facility. Officers contacted 44-year-old James Madison Crotts and learned that he was an invited guest.

However, a records check revealed that Crotts was wanted on a Grants Pass felony warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and he was on probation from a past arrest for unspecified crimes.

James Crotts was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on the warrant and for Probation Violation. He was being held on a no-bail detainer.
