CJ Man Hurt after Crashing Jeep into Tree off US Highway 199 near Wilderville

A Cave Junction man was injured when he crashed his vehicle into a tree off Redwood Highway in the Wilderville area late last week.

The Oregon State Police reports troopers and emergency personnel responded to the single-vehicle accident near milepost 9 of US Highway 199 at Round Prairie Road on Friday at 2 p.m..

State troopers said an investigation determined that 52-year-old James Losey was driving a Jeep Gladiator when he left the highway and crashed into a tree. It was not known what caused him to lose control of his vehicle.

Losey was transported by ambulance to Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass for treatment of moderate injuries. No one else was hurt.

The damaged Jeep was hauled to Cave Junction by Jerry's Towing.
