GP Police Snared Felon on Weapon & Probation Charges in Corrections Assist

Grants Pass Police jailed a felon for weapon and probation violations late last week while assisting Josephine County Community Corrections.

According to the Police Department, officers arrested 52-year-old Jason Michael Brisbane at a home in the 200-block of SE Grandview Avenue on Friday morning.

Police said they were summoned to the scene by two corrections officers who had detained Brisbane during a routine search that uncovered a firearm. They said the suspect provided consent to search his home where they found a loaded shotgun, rifle and a double-bladed dagger.

The weapons were seized along with some drug paraphernalia including scales and tin foil.

Jason Brisbane was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for two counts of Felon in Possession of a Weapon, one count of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon and the resulting Probation Violation. He was being held on a no-bail detainer.
