Josephine County Sheriff's Office Recruiting Workers Due to New Law Service District

Bolstered by a permanent law enforcement service district approved by voters in November, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office is recruiting new employees.

Sheriff's Office workers have excellent medical, dental and vision plans as well as the ability to accrue vacation and earned sick and holiday time. They also have paid PERS retirement and other elective benefits such as deferred comp, life insurance, AFLAC and gym membership discounts.

New hires receive academy enrollment and paid salary while training.

Starting wages for patrol and corrections deputies is $26.81 per hour while dispatchers are paid $23.16 per hour. Lateral patrol deputies will receive a year's worth of service salary incentives.
