The City of Grants Pass is inviting citizens to enter its 2024 Water Quality Report Photo Contest.

Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter the contest, with the entry deadline at 5 p.m. on December 27, 2024.

Winning photos will be featured in the city's 2024 Water Quality Report. The first place winner will receive $200. The second place winner will receive $100.

Participants are instructed to submit an original photo that demonstrates the theme of "Reimagine Our Water Future." Photos must be submitted in a digital format that is suitable for reproduction. Submitted photographs must be from one frame captured by a camera and not be a composite of several images layered together.

Photos must be taken in Southern Oregon in either Josephine, Jackson, Curry or Klamath counties.

Entries become the property of the City of Grants Pass. They will be judged based on creativity, originality and theme relevance. The judges' decision is final.

The winning photos will not only be featured in the 2024 Water Quality Report, they'll also be used on social media and in promotional activities, and they'll be recognized during a Grants Pass City Council meeting.
