Deputies Nabbed Motorist for DUII after She Crashed Jeep in Colonial Valley

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office arrested a motorist for impaired driving after she crashed her vehicle in the Colonial Valley area over the weekend.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies and emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle wreck near the corner of Granite Hill and Grouse Creek roads on Saturday around 4 p.m..

Police said a resident called 9-1-1 to report that 46-year-old Cheri Terhorst lost control of her Jeep, slid off the road and into a tree. The caller said the driver was not hurt, but she was obviously impaired, kept trying to start her inoperable vehicle and refused to accept any assistance.

Deputies arrived on scene and determined that Terhorst was highly impaired. She was transported to the Grants Pass Sobering Center where she provided a breath sample that exceeded the legal driving limit. She was cited to appear in court for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving. Her damaged Jeep was impounded.
