No One Hurt in Friday Morning Crash on Redwood Highway South of Selma

Emergency responders rushed to the scene on a motor vehicle accident on Redwood Highway south of Selma early yesterday.

On Friday at 7:41 a.m., the Illinois Valley Fire District, American Medical Response and Oregon State Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at milepost 23 of US Highway 199 near Gold Canyon Drive.

IVFD officials said arriving units found a vehicle had wrecked into an embankment. They said there were no injuries and traffic was reduced to one lane while the scene was active. The Oregon Department of Transportation assisted.

The driver and any occupants were not identified by IVFD, but officials said the damaged vehicle was towed to Cave Junction.

OSP was investigating the cause of the accident.
