GP Police Jailed Man on State Warrant for Parole Violation after Motel Complaint

Grants Pass Police jailed a man on a statewide felony warrant after he caused a disturbance at a north-city motel late last week.

The Police Department reports officers arrested 42-year-old Jesse Curtis Heapes at the Grants Pass Travelodge on NW Vine Street around midday Friday.

Police said Heapes was called in as a disorderly subject in the motel lobby who was upset about his room assignment. They said the female worker was frightened by the suspect and she was hiding in the back room when she called 9-1-1.

Officers responded and contacted Heapes, placing him into custody when they discovered that he was wanted on an Oregon State warrant for Parole Violation stemming from convictions for 4th-Degree Assault and Criminal Trespass. He was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on a no-bail detainer.

Jail records show Jesse Heapes has been arrested for violating his parole agreement five times since August 18th.
