Grants Pass Police Arrested Two Men in Separate Patrol Checks at Baker Park

Grants Pass Police arrested two men during separate patrol checks at the same city park yesterday.

According to the Police Department, the first incident occurred on Monday shortly before the noon hour when officers contacted 18-year-old Justis Ivan Cory at Baker Park.

Police said Cory was connected to a stolen bicycle found at the park and he was placed into custody for probable cause of 3rd-Degree Theft. He was lodged at the Josephine County Jail.

The second incident happened on Monday at about 8 p.m. when officers contacted 20-year-old Ethan Roy Wilcox at Baker Park.

Police said they spotted Wilcox and knew that he was wanted on a Grants Pass warrant for failing to appear in court for 2nd-Degree Criminal Trespass. He was lodged in jail.

The stolen bicycle was recovered and logged into evidence for safekeeping. Two soiled tents were disposed of at Southern Oregon Sanitation and a third tent that belongs to a known individual was logged for safekeeping.
