GP Police Jailed Frequent Parole Violator for Causing Traffic Disturbance

Grants Pass Police jailed a man for once again violating his post-prison supervision -- this time by causing a disturbance at an intersection near the downtown area.

The Police Department reports officers arrested 43-year-old Nicholas John Knox Knowles near the corner of NE B and 7th streets on Friday at 6:02 p.m..

Police said Knowles had been called in as acting erratically and jumping in front of vehicles on 7th Street. The suspect was located at the nearby A-1 Market & Deli visibly intoxicated with a strong odor of alcohol and an empty beer can in his hand.

Nicholas Knowles was placed into custody and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Felony Parole Violation stemming from previous convictions for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass. He was being held on a no-bail detainer.

Jail records show Knowles has been arrested 10 times for violating his parole since April 22nd.
