OSP Nabbed Motorist for Drunken & Drugged Driving after Galice Road Crash

The Oregon State Police arrested a young motorist for drunken and drugged driving after he crashed his vehicle about seven miles west of Merlin.

According to OSP, troopers responded to a non-injury wreck in the 7100-block of Galice Road.

Troopers said the crash involved a Hyundai Elantra driven by 21-year-old Asher Benjamin Branson-Brackin. They said signs of impairment were observed when they spoke with the driver. He performed poorly in field sobriety tests and was taken to the Grants Pass Sobering Center where a urine sample was collected.

Based on the sample, Branson-Brackin was lodged at the Sobering Center for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Controlled Substances. His vehicle was towed to an impound yard in Grants Pass.
