GP Police Jailed Felony for Parole Violation & Not Registering as Sex Offender

Grants Pass Police jailed a felon for violating his post-prison supervision after investigating a weekend report of suspicious activity in the southeast part of the city.

The Police Department reports officers arrested 37-year-old Antoine C. Roberson in the 1300-block of Parkdale Drive on Saturday at about 12:15 p.m..

Police said a resident of the area called 9-1-1 to report that Roberson drove to that location, got out of his vehicle and began walking around in circles. The caller said the man kept taking his clothing off and putting it back on, and they believed he was under the influence of narcotics.

Upon arrival, officers contacted Roberson and he initially gave them a false name. That's most likely because he is a convicted sex offender who had failed to register with local law enforcement since April 2021.

Antoine Roberson was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and the resulting Felony Parole Violation. He was being held on a no-bail detainer. Jail records show he had already been arrested twice this year for violating terms of his parole.
