Senator Ron Wyden is visiting Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University Thursday to discuss the large number of jobs projected to be created by the passage of the Affordable Health Care Act.

The act will provide millions of previously uninsured Americans with health insurance and RCC has received a $3 million grant to assist in educating future healthcare workers.

Wyden, RCC President Peter Angstadt, Executive Director of the Job Council Jim Fong and local hospital representatives will attend the meeting at RCC Building A at the corner of 9th and Riverside in Medford at 10:45 a.m.

Wyden will then travel to 1250 Siskiyou Boulevard, Churchill 231, at 1:30 p.m. to address Southern Oregon University nursing students.
