Firefighters battle midnight blaze near Shady Cove
Firefighters from the Oregon Department of Forestry, Jackson County Fire District 4 and Butte Falls Fire Department were up through the night fighting a fire that sparked just after midnight today in a home at 1991 Crowfoot Road located seven miles east of Shady Cove.
Crews fought the blaze that destroyed a home and burned a quarter-acre of grass and brush until 5:00 a.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for southwest Oregon because of forecasted strong north/northeast winds and dry conditions.
