Rogue River Fire Chief on Administrative Leave
Rogue River Fire Chief Ben Ramsey has been placed on administrative leave, and a decision about his future with the agency will be made soon. There was no comment on what contributed to the decision by Fire District’s Board.
No interim chief has been named. Department Captains are handling the day to day operations.
The board is scheduled to meet in executive session this morning.
Ramsey came under fire last year from union officials who blamed him for budget woes.
