Drug Take Back Event brings in over 300 pounds of prescriptions
The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety’s Drug Take Back Event, held Saturday at the Courthouse, brought in over 300 pounds of unused or unwanted prescription medications.
The purpose of the event was to prevent prescription drugs from entering our local water system and to keep controlled substances from those who may abuse them.
Public Safety will continue to have a drop box for prescriptions in the Public Safety Lobby located at the north side of the Courthouse 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Intravenous drugs, syringes, needles, illegal substances or medical waste is not accepted.
