Mt. Ashland Receives $20k Grant
Mt. Ashland has received an unrestricted $20,000 grant from the Los Angeles based Gardner Grout Foundation. The Foundation has contributed $100,000 to the non-profit ski area over the last six years.
The foundation committed $5,000 during the 2010-11 fiscal year and another $15,000 in the 2011-12 ski season earmarked for the new lift ticket scanning system the area installed.
The financial support has enabled the ski area to lower its operational overhead and none of the funds have been utilized for expansion purposes.
Mt. Ashland has just completed its twentieth season as a 5019(c)3 non-profit organization.
