Jose Anthony Aguirre, 31, is in the Josephine County jail facing charges of robbery 1, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
Aguirre’s charges stem from what was originally reported as a car jacking on September 27 when Abraham Perez Morales reported a man approached him in the area of Fairview and Beacon Drive, struck him in the head with a gun and took his green 1992 Honda Accord and fled towards the Parkway.
The vehicle was recovered by the Oregon State Police, assisted by Grants Pass Police on September 29th and Aguirre was identified as the primary suspect.
Aguirre was located at his residence, 1810 Northeast Fairview, apartment A and was arrested there. Aguirre and Morales were unknown to each other.
