LNG Fueling May Be Available in Central Point Soon

The appearance of a 40 foot tall fuel tank on the south side of the Pilot Travel Center in Central Point signals the future availability of liquid natural gas.

Depending on construction schedules, Central Point may be site of the state’s first LNG fueling station. A Portland station is slated for completion just after year’s end.

Pilot and Clean Energy are collaborating to build 150 stations coast to coast and are touting them as clean, cost-saving energy alternatives.

Clean Energy operates 60 tankers that make 5,000 deliveries of liquefied natural gas each year
