Governor’s Volunteer Award Goes to Guiding Lights of G.P.

The Guiding Lights Mentoring program which serves middle-school students of Josephine County has been named a regional winner of the Governor’s Volunteer Award as an Outstanding Volunteer program for 2012. The region includes Curry, Jackson, Klamath and Lake Counties.

The Guiding Lights Mentoring program has been serving local students for almost five years and is part of the College Dreams organization established by Tom and Judie Drummond.

The award will be presented at a luncheon November 9th in Salem.
