Woman reported in fair condition after traumatic Redwood Highway crash

A woman who was in a traumatic accident on Redwood Highway near milepost 37 Tuesday morning is reported in fair condition.

The woman, 37-year-old Jacqualine Marie Kratzer of Fort Bragg, Calif., was driving her ’86 Mazda pickup northbound when she left the roadway and struck a tree.

A driver heard Kratzer honking and located her vehicle. He then called Oregon State Police troopers who responded at 6:50 a.m. and closed the road for approximately one-and-a-half hours in order to extricate Kratzer.

Mercy Flights flew Kratzer to Rogue Regional Medical Center where she was subsequently transported to Oregon Health and Science University in Portland where she is reported in fair condition today.
