Commissioners Re-Affirm S.R.S. Allocation to Rogue Umpqua RAC

County Commissioners passed resolution 2012-033 in August allocating dedicated S.R.S. funds to the Rogue Umpqua Resource Allocation Committee earmarking the money for the Medford Tanker base, and during the Wednesday Business Session re-affirmed that decision.

Somewhere in the state bureaucracy the funds were moved to the Siskiyou Rogue R.A.C. with no notification or input from Josephine County.

The Commissioners feel funds dedicated to Josephine County should be allocated in accordance with county wishes or returned to the Federal treasury. A letter to that effect will be sent to the Governor and the head of the Siskiyou Rogue Resource allocation committee.

The Commissioners also passed a resolution, transfer agreement and Order number 2012-042 transferring the CASA program to CASA of Jackson County, a non-profit organization that will continue the program maintaining the office and all Josephine county personnel at least through the fiscal year.
