Crews keep a handle on the Grave Creek Fire

Crews from the Oregon Department of Forestry are continuing to battle the Grave Creek Fire but conditions at the blaze continue to improve.

Today, the fire is a total of 26 acres, which has not increased in two days, and is now considered 80 percent contained.

Crews will remain in the area and continue mop up throughout the day.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Most of the smoke the Rogue Valley is experiencing is coming from the Pole Creek Fire in interior Oregon near Sisters. According to airnow.gov, air quality in Grants Pass remains good.
