Joint City Council/B.C.C. Meeting Considers U.G.B. Tonight

Years of work on the 20-year growth plan for the city of Grants Pass may culminate tonight when the Board of County Commissioners and the City Council hold a joint meeting in the Fairgrounds Pavilion to adopt an ordinance amending the Urban Growth Boundary.

Beginning 6:00, the public hearing will be open to take testimony on all items at the same time.

Following the public hearing, items will be voted on in the order in which they appear on the agenda.

First is the ordinance adopting Addendum 1 to the urbanization element of the comprehensive plan. Second is the ordinance amending the policies in the urbanization element of the comprehensive plan to adopt interim policies. Third is the Ordinance amending the Grants Pass Urban Growth Boundary. Fourth is the resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for property added to the Urban Growth Boundary.
