“Secure Our Safety” Organization Addressed Council Workshop
The citizen’s organization “Secure Our Safety” addressed the Grants Pass city council workshop Monday and reviewed the current criminal justice situation, outlined many of the options the organization is discussing, and made a request of the City Council.
The organization has developed a survey on their website in an attempt to ascertain what the general populace wants to see from criminal justice, how much are they willing to spend, and what is the best way to generate the needed funds.
S.O.S. asked if the council would allow a notice to be added to the water bills alerting people to the survey and its online location.
Pat Fahey, representing the group, outlined their goal was to formulate a plan after the first of the year with the ultimate goal of having a proposal on the next ballot.
