Two vehicles burn in Medford; police seek arsonist
Police are seeking an arsonist after two vehicles burned in Medford this morning.
The first call came in at 2:15 a.m. to report that a 1998 Ford Contour sedan was burning in the 400 block of S. Peach Street. The vehicle was burning within five feet of a residence and the residence received some fire damage. The Contour was a total loss.
Dispatch received a second call at 4:20 p.m. reporting that a truck was on fire in the 1400 block of Prune Street. No structures were damaged but the truck was destroyed.
Investigators determined the cause of both fires was arson. There are currently no suspects but authorities believe the same individual or individuals started both fires.
