Video Evidence Leads to the Arrest of Burglary/Arsonist
Grants Pass Police arrested, charged and jailed Kyle Lowell Winn Friday night just before eleven in connection with the burglary, theft and arson of the Hawaiian Sisters Business on Rogue River Highway early Friday morning.
The suspect made a forced entry through a roof vent, stole a large amount of lottery tickets and cigarettes, set fire to the back room and broke out the front window to escape. The fire failed to destroy the video surveillance and the suspect was identified as Winn.
Patrol officers spotted Winn at the Chevron Gas Station on Redwood Highway and took him into custody without incident.
He has been charged with Arson 2, Burglary 2, Theft 1 and criminal mischief 1. Because of the seriousness of the charges he was lodged in the county jail.
