Central Point Trucker Rolls Tanker on I-5 South of Roseburg

R. David Lee, 51, driving for T.P. Trucking of Central point, was seriously injured Wednesday night when the 2005 Peterbilt truck pulling two tanker trailers he was driving rolled into the I-5 median along the southbound lanes five miles south of Roseburg.

Lee was initially taken to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg and then transferred to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

For an undetermined reason, the truck and trailer drifted into the center median and overturned, leaking approximately 6,500 gallons of adhesive resin into the center median.

A second vehicle, a 97 Nissan Maxima driven by 24-year-old Hollie D. Malone of Myrtle Creek sideswiped the truck as it was coming to rest. She was not injured.

The Oregon State Police investigation is continuing.
