Medford Couple Indicted On Multi-County Crime Spree

A Jackson County Grand Jury has indicted Jeffrey Randolph Blackwood and Shayna Lea Campos on two counts of Aggravated identity theft, four counts of first degree theft and two counts of identity theft.

The charges stem from Blackwood’s July arrest in a car loaded with stolen items, including checks, credit, debit and social security cards and documents that were taken during a series of home burglaries in Josephine County and from numerous cars broken into in Jackson County.

Police identified 27 separate victims in the case.

Medford police believe the pair targeted Josephine County because they believed they were safe from law enforcement because of budget cuts to the Sheriff’s Department and the lack of jail space.

Medford will only pursue the thefts that occurred in Jackson County because of a lack of investigation in the Josephine County burglaries.
