Alleged kidnapper arraigned in court
18-year-old Eric Bryan Weldon was arraigned in Josephine County Circuit Court today for an alleged kidnapping and assault.
According to court documents, Weldon held Megan Thomas against her will, strangled her and prevented her from calling authorities.
Weldon is charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon, fourth-degree assault, strangulation and two counts of third-degree cellular counterfeit.
An attempt to reach investigating Public Safety Officer Nathan Rankin was unsuccessful and few other details are known in this case.
Weldon is being held on $50,000 bail.
