The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety’s Drug Take Back Event, held Saturday at the Courthouse, brought in over 300 pounds of unused or unwanted prescription medications.

 

Grants Pass Department of Public Safety officers responded to a disturbance involving 4 to 6 people in the area of Menegazzi Park at 129 northwest “F” Street last night around seven and found 32 year old Leanne Darby, a transient, suffering from multiple knife wounds. She was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital in serious condition.

 

Mt. Ashland has received an unrestricted $20,000 grant from the Los Angeles based Gardner Grout Foundation. The Foundation has contributed $100,000 to the non-profit ski area over the last six years

 

Jose Anthony Aguirre, 31, is in the Josephine County jail facing charges of robbery 1, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
