A man and woman called 911 to report a stabbing and dog attack, leading to the arrests of two suspects by Josephine County Sheriff's deputies Thursday night.
Dispatch received word around 8:04 p.m. that the man, woman, and two children had locked themselves inside the bedroom of a property in the 600 block of Timber Lane. A suspect was attempting to kick down the door following an altercation between the two party's dogs. The suspect, reported to be Ricky Trevino by the man, stabbed him in the leg through the door with a knife.
The man reported Trevino and five others could be heard screaming from the other side of the door. The woman additionally reported to dispatch she was attacked by a pit bull, saying the incident began over their dogs fighting, and that the suspects were known to use methamphetamine.
Deputies arrived and took two suspects into custody. Trevino and Patrick Cory were both charged with three counts each of Menacing, Reckless Endangering, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. They were lodged in the Josephine County Jail.
