Body Found in Creek at Merlin Interchange
Friday morning at 10:45 the Josephine County Sheriff’s office received a call from a citizen who reported seeing what was believed to be body in the creek at the Merlin Interchange at milepost 61. The citizen reported seeing the lower extremities and sleeping bags nearby.
Search and Rescue’s assistance was requested and they responded with water gear and the rope team. Hull and Hull Funeral Home was notified and transported the body.
No identification has been released, nor has there been any indication the death was due to any violence. A death investigation is continuing.
