Southern Oregon University President Search Now Down to Three Final Candidates
After a nationwide search, Southern Oregon University selected three finalists in the search for a new president of the school.
One of those candidates was on campus this week for the first time.
Each of the three finalists will visit Southern Oregon in the next few weeks to meet with SOU groups as well as hold town hall-style forums that will be open to the public.
The first of the finalists on campus was Dr. Michael Tidwell. Tidwell currently serves as dean of the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University.
The finalists were recommended to the SOU Board of Trustees by the Presidential Search Committee -- involving both students, staff and board members inside the school, as well as members of the Rogue Valley community.
The other two candidates are planning to visit SOU in early June.
