Years of work on the 20-year growth plan for the city of Grants Pass may culminate tonight when the Board of County Commissioners and the City Council hold a joint meeting in the Fairgrounds Pavilion to adopt an ordinance amending the Urban Growth Boundary.

 

The citizen’s organization “Secure Our Safety” addressed the Grants Pass city council workshop Monday and reviewed the current criminal justice situation, outlined many of the options the organization is discussing, and made a request of the City Council.

 

The Guardians of the Ribbon, a non-profit consisting of firefighters who travel the country to raise breast cancer awareness, will be holding a meet and greet at the Redwood Motel located at 815 N.E. 6th St. from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today.

A 36-year old Medford father and his 8-year old daughter escaped with minor injures Sunday evening after Kris Garbutt suffered a seizure and lost control of their Ford pickup that struck a power pole next to the Black Bird Shopping Center, plowed through two parked cars, mowed down a fence and rolled over ten feet from an apartment building.
