Parking enforcement suspension announced for downtown GP
The Grants Pass City Council is looking to encourage Christmas shopping at downtown stores during the holiday season and in order to promote this objective, beginning on Friday, Nov. 25, three-hour parking limitations will be suspended in downtown Grants Pass.
In addition to parking spaces available on the streets, 386 parking spaces will also be available in eight public parking lots.
The Council is encouraging shoppers to visit downtown Grants Pass because holiday shopping is an essential contribution to the success of local retail businesses.
Public Safety officers will still enforce prohibited parking spaces and vehicles remaining in lots more than 24 hours will be subject to fines and possible towing.
Parking space regulations will return to their regular enforcement on Dec. 31.
