Duck Derby purchases surpass expectations
According to officials with the Grants Pass Rotary Club Foundation, the Ninth Annual Grants Pass Rogue Duck Derby has exceeded last years sales with a total of 8,861 ducks sold as of 4:30 p.m. today.
Derby supporters have been selling over 150 ducks an hour and they are optimistic that the last hour and a half of ducks sales will bring the total to over 9,000 ducks sold.
The Rotary also wants to make the public aware that the Rogue River will be closed from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. tomorrow for both watercraft and personal access from the area of Potts’ Bridge near Baker Park to the Seventh Street Bridge for the Duck Derby event.
