Central Point to Restrict Pot Dispensaries in City Limits
The Central Point City Council have approved an ordinance restricting marijuana dispensaries within its city limits. The ordinance would restrict the dispensaries and their facilities beyond the planned state rules.

The city of Grants Pass Utilized 132 Josephine County Jail beds this week while answering 987 911 emergency calls and answered 517 non-emergency calls for service.

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind Warning which is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM PST Saturday. A Wind Advisory has also been issued.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety arrested two suspects Thursday at 9:53 a.m. at 757 S.E. 7th St. on suspicion of being responsible for an assault and possibly a robbery.

Medford District Re-Opens School Gyms
The Medford School District is re-opening its gyms to community activities that were scheduled prior to the teacherís strike. The facilities will be open in a limited capacity from 6 to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
