Heavy Traffic Enforcement Promised by Public Safety Agencies
Wednesday at noon the Oregon State Police and most of the neighboring law enforcement agencies began increased patrol of I-5 and three hours later 69 vehicles had been stopped for traffic violations, 50 for speeding, 25 of which were for 20 miles per hour of more over the posted speed.
8 citations were issued for other violations and 28 warnings were given out.
Last night at six patrol efforts were increased with a focus on several roads targeting intoxicated and other dangerous drivers.
The increased patrol efforts will continue through midnight, Sunday the 27th.
