Seda Reports to Prison in January
The leader of the U.S. branch of a defunct Islamic charity will have nearly two months of freedom before his nearly three year prison term begins January 23rd.
Pete Seda, the Ashland arborist, was convicted last year of helping smuggle $150,000 to Saudi Arabia. He was sentenced in September and a federal judge wrapped up the case this week ordering Seda to report to Federal Prison in Sheridan by January 23rd.
Court records show he’ll also be required to forfeit nearly $20,000 in bail money to help cover the costs of his publicly funded defense.
